Not Really a DVD Easter Egg...:
This isn't an egg, but I thought some might find this interesting…
When you get about 17 minutes and 35 seconds into the film, look for the moment when Mr. Weasley has just taken Harry aside in the Leaky Cauldron. As they begin to talk, watch the poster of Sirius Black. The number "301" will appear just below the poster for only a single frame. This is a frame counter for the animation cycle of the moving poster. The FX people forgot to matte it out. It goes by so fast that apparently no one at the studio noticed it before prints were distributed, nor did anyone think to fix it on the DVD.
